It all started in a rural corner of Pomfret, CT.  Across from the Vanilla Bean restaurant was an herb store in the basement of someones home. It was there that my friend Nancy and I took a course in how to make cold process soap. It was January 1997.  You Tube was years away and the Internet was just getting going, so we were on our own to learn the craft with books, using locally sourced items.  It took us almost a year before we had a quality product worthy of sales. We were so stoked to be at our first craft fair.
